The mystery revolves around the death of a beautiful young boy whose body cannot be found and a cult-like group to which he gave service. Lots of Wilde ditties. Quite poignant and a bit of a twist for the ending. The book has melancholy, wit and dialogue taken from letters between Wilde and Doyle. Brandreth had access to all Wilde's papers and the blessing of Wilde's heirs.
