MWA WRITERS' WORKSHOP with ALAN COOK: "THE HISTORY OF THE MYSTERY"

THURSDAY, MARCH 13 at 7:00 p.m.

This month's visitor from the Southern California chapter of Mystery Writers of America is Alan Cook, who will present a short history of the mystery genre, from Poe and Doyle to the present. Cook’s latest mystery, HONEYMOON FOR THREE (AuthorHouse trade paperback, $14.49) won the Silver Quill from the American Author's Association. Cook's other works include Hotline to Murder, Catch a Falling Knife, Thirteen Diamonds, and a short story in A Hot and Sultry Night for Crime, edited by Jeffery Deaver. His non-fiction includes Walking the World and Walking Denver.
