JOIN THE CRIME CLUB AND RECEIVE A 10% DISCOUNT ON ALL YOUR CLUB PURCHASES!
Each month Crime Club members receive a signed and personally inscribed first edition mystery from the most exciting mystery writers working today. Subscriptions also make wonderful gifts for the mystery fans in your life.
Our emphasis is on first mysteries by new authors — we were the first to showcase such outstanding mystery debuts as Michael Connelly’s Black Echo and John Dunning’s Booked To Die — but we also offer significant new works by established writers, as with such break-out books as Walter Mosley’s Fearless Jones and Arturo Perez-Reverte’s The Nautical Chart. Most of the books we have chosen for our CRIME COLLECTORS CLUB have gone on to win many of the major mystery awards around the world.
Membership has no extra costs, and you are under no obligation. You may resign from any club with just ten days notice. Just contact The Mystery Bookstore directly regarding this special offer. You may email orders@mystery-bookstore.com or telephone us on our toll-free number, (800) 821-9017. A Mystery Bookstore Staff member will contact you for credit card information.

cityofthieves.jpg Viking, $24.95 (signed first edition)

This second novel by the author of THE 25TH HOUR is a gripping adventure set mostly in wartime Leningrad. Teenager Lev Beniov is arrested for looting the body of a German paratrooper. In jail, he meets Kolya, a young deserter who is also a classic "fixer." Lev and Kolya are offered a deal: they can escape execution if they can come up with a dozen eggs for the colonel's daughter's wedding cake. Their search takes them from the lawless streets of Leningrad to the neighboring countryside, as the young men learn the lessons that will keep them alive.
