Sisters in Crime/LA presents THOMAS B. SAWYER and MORGAN ST. JAMES at the SOUTH PASADENA PUBLIC LIBRARYWe are, as always, delighted to be the booksellers at the monthly meeting of Sisters in Crime/Los Angeles, where Thomas B. Sawyer will discuss "Techniques I Learned in TV & Film That Will Make You a Better Storyteller," and Morgan St. James will read from her latest novel, SEVEN DEADLY SAMOVARS (L&L Dreamspell trade paperback, $16.95). Sawyer is an Edgar–and Emmy-nominated screenwriter whose work includes 24 episodes of "Murder, She Wrote," nine network TV pilots, and the bestselling thriller THE SIXTEENTH MAN; his latest novel is NO PLACE TO RUN (Sterling & Ross trade paperback, $14.95). Morgan St. James is the co-author of the Silver Sisters Mysteries with her real–life sister, Phyllice Bradner; she will publish two new books, THE DEVIL'S DANCE and THE DEVIL'S DUE, under the pen name Arliss Adams later this year.
