It's only a matter of time before the emails start, offering to make the stalking stop if Patrick will follow instructions carefully. Bad people do bad things, and mostly get what they deserve in this wildly entertaining book, which was Stephen's favorite for May. Strip club owner Claudio “Manco” Kapak gets upset when he's robbed by a masked gunman. Manco's men think the robber is Joe Carver, but they are wrong. Joe Carver and his shadowy past don't like to be messed with, so he retaliates; meanwhile, the real masked gunman, Jefferson Davis Falkins, picks up a psycho girlfriend and keeps robbing Manco. Trying to quell this brewing crime war is Lt. Nick Slosser, a cop with two wives and several kids ready to start college.
